Intro to Turkish Cooking

This is where it all began, this was the very first cooking class I hosted and is both simple to prepare and makes for a delicious well rounded meal. Virtually every restaurant in Turkey has some variety of kofte on their menu, traditionally it is prepared with ground lamb, but in this class we use organic lean ground beef.

Although hummus and cacik (tzatziki) are readily available to purchase in most grocery stores, making it at home allows for full control of ingredients.Most store bought version have added stabilizer, poor quality oils and are laden with preservatives. The added bonus is the savings on your grocery bill.

Anytime I have prepared this meal for friends and family it has been a hit!
